Church Life

Our morning service consists of a time of singing praises to God and listening to the preaching of His Word

. We also pause and take time to partake in the Lord’s supper (communion). We usually finish around noon. Following the morning service there is an opportunity to be prayed for whilst many others head out to our foyer for refreshments and social time together.

Club House creche is our Sunday morning preschool ministry. Parents are invited to bring their preschool-aged children (walking to five years of age) to the Club House room at church for a program which includes inside and outdoor play, craft and drawing, bible stories and music. Our evening service is more informal with the opportunity for various people to share about God’s blessing in their lives. We also have a time of praise and worship followed by a practical talk about Christianity. The service generally lasts for about one hour, Once a month we hold a Fellowship Meal with devotions a key part of that night.

The vision has always been outreach, both locally and into the nation of Kenya in financially supporting disadvantaged students, local pastors and widows as well as annual leaders’ conferences and free medical clinics. GVCF has also raised up and sent out other church ministries, founding the Euroa Christian Fellowship in 2002.

Our pastoral care team handles all spiritual and biblical guidance to those in need through prayer, visitations, support, looking to God’s word for guidance and hope and assisting with practical needs. We also regularly visit people in local aged-care facilities, hospitals and prisons. We offer prayerful support for couples and parents and run Christian programs to support married couples to strengthen their relationship and help parents in their roles to raise children in the way God instructs in His Word. Individual pastoral care and guidance is also available to anyone in need of Godly guidance and support.

We hold an annual retreat for church family to grow spiritually, build friendships, enjoy relaxation time and have fun. It’s usually held at a nearby town with good accommodation, sporting and leisure facilities, close to shops and golf courses, spots for fishing, bike riding etc. We laugh, sing, share coffee and meals together … a favourite time of year for our GVCF family! Every second year we invite a guest speaker to minister to the church and hold meetings to sit under God’s Word.
